Biography

A cattle dealer, Patrick Gallagher fought in the Easter Rising as a member of E Company in the 4th Dublin Battalion of the Irish Volunteers. After being part of an attempt to blow up the railway bridge over the East Wall Road, he took up a position on the roof of the GPO, where he engaged in a battle with a sniper in Trinity College.
