James Dempsey

Biography

James Dempsey was active during Easter week 1916 in the Cabra Bridge area as a member of B Company, 1st Battalion, Dublin Brigade of the Irish Volunteers. He was sentenced to death by the court martial but this was commuted to a three year sentence. He was released from prison in the Spring of 1917.
