Member of A Company, 1st Dublin Brigade of the Irish Volunteers, Patrick Boland was at the Magazine Fort in Easter week 1916. After being arrested and sent to Britain, he was imprisoned in Stafford and later Frongoch. He was not active in politics again after his release in December 1916.
